40th YEAR FOR “ANTIQUES IN SCHOHARIE”
The Fall “Antiques in Schoharie” Show and Sale began 40 years ago with twelve dealers joining together for one day in the Mill Building at the Depot Lane SVRR Center. Since then the show has grown to up to 100 dealers joining together for a two-day weekend. Over 3000 people (depending on the weather, of course) pay an admission to view, barter, trade, purchase or simply admire the antiques as being just like the one you threw down the well 40 years ago!
The 2013 Fall show is September 14-15. Each show has a wonderful Country Kitchen where you can get delicious homemade soups, chili, sandwiches and desserts. Our kitchen is put together by our great members.
The Fall Antiques in Schoharie schedule was expanded 20 years ago to include a two-day show in March held at the Schoharie Central School. The two shows account for a major part of SCHA operating expenses.
The Railroad Center is the perfect backdrop for the fall show. This fun event is sponsored by Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association and all proceeds go toward supporting the organizations mission of acquiring and preserving historical sites in and around the Village of Schoharie and making them available to the public for educational and cultural enrichment. If you want to get involved in any way contact Ruth Anne Wilkinson at 518-231-7241 or just leave a message on the SCHA office phone 518-295-7505. See you there!
